On Tuesday the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) announced their 24-player roster for their upcoming camp. The roster is comprised solely of European based players with the training to take place in Wales beginning on November 8th.
This camp does not include MLS players as the federation didn’t want to put any clubs in a tough spot when it came to players’ availability for the MLS Cup Playoffs. The decision obviously put MLS players in an awkward spot however as opportunities to impress the coaching staff have become slimmer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That being said, USMNT being able to comprise a 24-player roster based solely on European residing players is an accomplishment.
“We are excited about getting this group back together,” said USMNT coach Greg Berhalter. “I’m proud of the way the players have handled the challenging times - they really stuck together. We have built a solid foundation, and now we get a chance to continue our work together ahead of what is going to be a critical 12 months for our team.”
Goalkeepers: Ethan Horvath, Chituri Odunze, Zack Steffen
Defenders: John Brooks, Reggie Cannon, Sergino Dest, Matt Miazga, Tim Ream, Chris Richards, Antonee Robinson
Midfielders: Tyler Adams, Johnny Cardoso, Richard Ledezma, Weston McKennie, Yunush Musah, Owen Otasowie

USMNT Forward Christian Pulisic’s Availability Is Uncertain
One of the major question marks for USMNT in terms of health is Chelsea’s Pulisic. Pulisic has been dealing with various injuries for the past few months and his current availability is a toss-up. On Monday it was being reported that Pulisic could be out for a few weeks and then on Tuesday Chelsea gaffer Frank Lampard said that the hamstring injury was minor and he was already training with the club.
Per USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter the availability of Pulisic will come down to how much he plays with Chelsea between now and their match against Wales on November 12th. Pulisic has already been ruled out of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League match with Rennes on Wednesday.
USMNT will be playing in two matches during the November FIFA window with the team taking on Wales on November 12th and then Panama on November 16th. Following the match at Wales the team will travel to Austria where they will face Panama. Both fixtures have an 2:45 p.m. ET kick-off and will be broadcasted on FS1.
