Revolution II Ink MLS SuperDraft Pick Simon Lekressner

On Tuesday New England Revolution II announced the signing of three players to add to their inaugural USL League One roster. The three players? Defender Simon Lekressner, defender Oskar Bloch, and goalkeeper Joe Rice. All three signings are. Pending league and federation approval. With the signings the Revs II roster is up to 14-players.

Lekressner, 21-years-old, the the 30th overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution. He trained with the first team and appeared in a handful of MLS pre-season matches but remained un-signed. Across three matches he logged 180 minutes and also played 45-minutes in a scrimmage against the University of Portland.

Bloch is just 19-years-old and will only be added to the roster after receipt of his P-1 Visa since he is a Denmark native. He played for Akademisk Blodklub, Danish Second-Tier side, and made 13 league appearances.

Rice is 23-years-old and played fo the Richmond Kickers of USL League One last season. He appeared in three matches with two starts. Prior to that he played with Lionsbridge FC of USL League Two where he played 12 games.

Revolution II will kick off their 2020 USL League One season on March 28 at home against Orlando City B.
