In just a little over two weeks, the Patriots have returned back to how they usually are: consistent. The team has been in back to back blow out games against the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts. With that, their record is at 3-2 going into Week 6. Right now, the team seems to be getting their chemistry together but the Patriots defense seemingly is still a huge problem for the team. While on one hand, they managed to create turnovers in both games, the Miami Dolphins are pretenders. Following their loss against the Cincinnati Bengals which they lost despite having a 17-0 lead going into the half (yes that literally happened). The Indianapolis Colts are struggling especially losing offensive players like T.Y Hilton to injury.
But this upcoming Sunday, the Patriots need to face the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Similar to the Patriots, their defense is essentially non-existent, but their offense is quite possibly the best in the NFL. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has had an incredible start to his NFL career. While, the jury is still out on whether he will be able to to maintain his performance, there is little doubt he will have a great game against the Patriots. The Pats defense is currently 25th in the league in passing defense (allowing 14 TDs on the year).
Right now, its tough to say where this game will be but it’s looking like it could be the preview to the AFC Championship game if the Chiefs don’t collapse before the playoffs.
