On Sunday at Rio Tinto Stadium the Houston Dash defeated the Chicago Red Stars 2-0 to win the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. In the 5th minute, Houston was awarded a penalty kick which Sophie Schmidt buried in the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. In the first minute of stoppage time in the second half the Dash added another goal with Rachel Daly setting hip Shea Groom to make it 2-0.
