Bryant University Bulldogs Fall To Maryland University Terrapins Sunday Afternoon Despite 25 Points From Senior Guard Adam Grant
The Bryant University Bulldogs visited the number 13th ranked team in the country, the Maryland University Terrapins, on Sunday afternoon. While the Bulldogs kept the game within reach for most of the game, they ultimately fell by a score of 84 to 70. Bryant finishes its non-conference schedule with an 8 and 5 record.
Adam Grant and Ikenna Ndugba led Bryant scorers on the afternoon. Grant had 25 points on the afternoon which included 7 three point shots. Ikenna Ndugba had a season high 19 points for himself on the afternoon.
“I’m happy with where we are but not remotely satisfied” said Bryant head coach Jared Grasso after the game. “We go into league play now and we’re 0-0. If we don’t show up Thursday and Saturday for our first two league games, the strides we’ve made will mean nothing”.
“We’re trending in the right direction – I like my group, I like their toughness, I like their character, I like how hard they play” added coach Grasso.
On Thursday afternoon, the Bryant Bulldogs will begin NEC play against against Saint Francis University. They will then play Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday afternoon. After matching the best record in their division 1 history, hopes are very high for the Bulldogs.
