The Boston Bruins made a roster move on October 30th with GM Don Sweeney announcing that forward Colby Cave has been assigned to the AHL Providence Bruins.
Cave leads Providence in scoring this season with five goals and five assists for 10 points with a plus-three rating.
Cave has been an alternate captain with the P-Bruins for the past three seasons and skated in 72 games in the 2017-18 season with 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points. The 23-year-old also appeared in 3 games for Boston last season making his NHL debut in Mid-December.
Cave prior to coming to the Bruins organization played four seasons with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL where he complied 95 goals and 107 assists in 287 career WHL games.
Cave was recalled by Boston on Monday on an emergency basis.
