The Bryant University Bulldogs open up the 2021-2022 regular season tonight against Fisher College in Smithfield. This will be the first time these two schools have played each other on the court. While they did have an exhibition game against Nicholas College at home back on October 25th, this will be the first official game with fans since the Covid-19 pandemic began back in March 2020.
Bryant’s Peter Kiss is returning to play for the Bulldogs this season after exploding with the Bulldogs last year, bringing that “Gym Rat” mentality that head coach Jared Grasso has preached during his tenure with the Bulldogs. Kiss was also named to the Lou Henson Award Preseason watch list. An award that is given to the mid-major player of the year. After Averaging 16.6 points per game in the 2020-2021 season, Kiss is one of the top players to watch in the NEC this season.
Not only having Kiss back for another year but having three other players that started 16 plus games last year will give Jared Grasso a little bit more consistency with his team on the court. With consistent turnover with his team the last few seasons, that is definitely a needed addition for this season and should help the Bulldogs get off to a fast start in 2021-2022.
Since fans were last in attendance, the athletic department has introduced two new video boards to the Chace Athletic Center which will give fans a new experience at Bulldogs games. Fans over the age of 21 will also be able to purchase beer at Men’s and Women’s basketball games this year as well. For any fans that can not attend Tuesday night’s game, you will be able to stream the game on NEC Front Row.
Bryant v Fisher College will tip-off tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.
