Boston Bruins Preseason Game 1 Preview

Boston Bruins VS Montreal Canadiens

Boston looks to take on rival Montreal in their first preseason game of 2018. This will be the first time we are seeing some players in a Bruins uniform. Look for the B’s to have some interesting lines.

The veterans will not be playing tonight like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Krejci, Zdeno Chara, and David Pastrnak. Tonight’s game is all about the kids and what they can bring to the table. The game is not listed on being shown on NESN, but it may be broadcasted on 98.5 the sports hub.

Everything else is up in the air. The B’s have a ton of guys eyeing a spot on the roster and they do not want to let it slip away. The veterans are the only one who is a shoe-in and we may even see some of their jobs taken.

The puck drops tonight at 7 pm in Quebec City.

Boston Bruins Already Having Injury Problem

Bruins Injury Updates Have Begun

Today GM Don Sweeney has given an update on a few injured players.

Matt Beleskey who which is not a big deal since he might not even make the team is day-to-day with a foot contusion. This happened is the B’s last preseason game against the Montreal Canadiens

Jakub Forsbacka Karlsson is day-to-day as well with an upper-body injury that he received in the game against Detroit on September 19th. Hopefully, this is nothing because he was a kid that was slotted to make a roster spot.

Last is Torrey Krug who will be out for at least three weeks pending a re-evaluation at that time. He was hit in the jaw with the puck and suffered a non-displaced fracture. It occurred in the game against Detroit.

Also on another note, the team has sent Jack Studnicka and Kyle Keyser back to the OHL.

The biggest injury is with JFK, now some may say Krug but I think the B’s can find a replacement for him. McAvoy will most likely take over on the power play and maybe this opens the door for a guy like Rob O’Gara or Matt Grzelcyk. Other than these few hiccups Boston should be a fun team to watch this season. Especially if they stay as young as they have in camp and the preseason games.

Bruins Grab First Win Of The Preseason

Boston took on the Canadiens last night in Quebec City and came out with a victory. Last nights team was all about the kids. Unfortnitally the game was not aired on TV in Boston. the Bruins defeated Montreal 3-2.

From what I have read from people that saw the game is that the kids were very impressive. Tim Schaller, Anders Bjork, and Jesse Gabrielle were the goal scorers. As the whole, the team seems like they are in a good spot to be competitive this season. Especially with all of the prospects on the roster that are eyeing a spot in the big club.

The most impressive was last years NCAA Hobey Baker Finalist Anders Bjork. Bjork scored his first goal in a Bruins uniform last night. Also, the word on the street is that his chemistry with the team is growing. Look for him to grab a top-six spot on the roster heading into the season.

Here is Anders Bjork on his first goal in. A very hockey guy answer:
